An experienced local shepherd will bring his prized poultry to your venue, as well as a simple obstacle course and his trusty sheepdogs.

After a few demonstrations and a bit of tuition, you’ll be able to split into teams and attempt to shepherd the ducks or geese around the obstacle course and into their pen.

In order to be successful you’ll have to enlist the help of your furry, four-legged friend. But don’t worry, all the time your shepherd will be giving constant advice and tips to control the dogs.

Ideally the experience requires a flat grassy area of approximately 40m x 40m, with parking for a 4×4 vehicle and trailer.

    Who is this for?

This experience is perfect for hens, stags and family groups that are up for a laugh and are looking for a truly unique outdoor activity.

FAQ

Do I need to bring anything to my duck herding session?

No - all equipment is provided, just make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes and clothing (preferably not heels!).

What space do I need to have for duck herding?

Ideally this experience requires a flat grassy area of approximately 40m x 40m, with parking for a 4×4 vehicle and trailer.

    Are the poultry treated well?

The ducks and geese when not being herded, are kept on an open range farm, and seem to enjoy their very chilled lifestyle. The dogs speak for themselves (unfortunately not literally), they have beautiful bright coats and you will see that they really enjoy what they do.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The provider will contact you ahead of the event if the forecast isn't looking very good. If the activity can't go ahead because of weather, they'll try their best to reschedule for you. If this can't be done or it doesn't work for you, simply contact us at Tobooka and we'll issue a full refund.
