Unleash your inner barbarian with the age old art of axe throwing!
What to expect
Your instructor will take you through everything you need to know in order to be proficient with an axe.
The first order of the day will involve taking you through the safety aspects and rules that will need to be followed during your adventure activity. The instructor will then demonstrate a safe throwing technique which will allow you to operate in a safe way.
It will then be your turn to unleash your inner barbarian and have a throw! The aim of axe throwing is to hit the centre of the target with your axe and score as many points as possible.
The session will include the use of two traditional axe types; the Viking Norse Axe and the Scout Axe. Our Team can even create a variety of exciting and challenging competitions to add to the fun.
The beginning of Axe Throwing can be traced back to the Teutonic (Germanic) tribes, who first used the method of throwing an axe to defeat their enemies. However it is the Vikings who were renowned for using axes during their raids and battles across Europe.
Only those aged 12 or over will be permitted to take part in the activity.
